Chair Simon Terry has welcomed experienced Senior Executive in financial services and Non-Executive Director Mike Thornton to the Bank First board room.

'We're thrilled to welcome Mike to our board who is a proven strategic leader in complex regulatory environments,’ Simon said.

'With a background in finance, risk, transformation and local and international experience, Mike joins Bank First at a really interesting, and exciting point in our transformation journey,' he said.

Mike has played key roles in complex and successful mergers and acquisitions and led teams through complex business challenges, particularly during the global financial crisis.

 'I am honoured to be joining the Board of Bank First, a purpose-led business dedicated to serving those who devote their lives to others. With a strong foundation and a clear strategy, I look forward to working with the Board and leadership team to build on this legacy and drive sustainable growth for our Members,' Mike said.

Mike's first day at Bank First is 1 April 2025.
